Beauty Bay launched their own in house cosmetics brand ‘By Beauty Bay’ in 2018 and if I’m honest, I didn’t know the beauty industry was missing something until that moment.

BEAUTY BAY’s mantra is to share our beauty obsessions with the world. Founded by two of life’s rebels who had no formal training, just a tonne of passion, we started out as a fragrance retailer and quickly discovered a whole universe of beauty just waiting to be unleashed.

The Colour Theory collection perfectly combines excellent quality with affordability which is something few brands have managed to achieve or sustain. From there the brand has grown it’s line of makeup and even skincare considerably with products that push the boundaries of what beauty really means to us.

By Beauty Bay x MMMMMitchell Me, Myself & MMMMitchell Palette.

I mentioned affordability earlier and I want to come back to that now because it’s something I’m really passionate about. Do I think you need to invest in expensive products to look and feel good? Absolutely fucking not, nothing could be further from the truth.

Cost does not equal quality and Beauty Bay has proved that to be true without a shadow of a doubt. Their pigmented AF palettes pack an almighty punch and are likely to steal your heart away from your current favourite given half the chance.

By Beauty Bay Youtopia Pressed Pigment Palette.

The online retailer has always been unique in how they operate. Stocking big name brands whilst also supporting indie businesses and small creators, giving us all a boost and acknowledging our worth. That kind of recognition is priceless within the beauty community.

I haven’t even mentioned their famous influencer collaborations yet! The queen that is Nikkie Tutorials released her x Beauty Bay Pressed Pigment Palette back in September and it’s still a huge fan favourite now. The unique design and versatile colour story makes it a collection staple.

That together with a similarly intriguing offer from MMMMitchell and something altogether different created with Ayo Coralie I have no doubt that the Beauty Bay creative team are some of the best in the business. Those minds be working overtime I’m telling you!

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this underrated gem. Being the hoarder that I am I imagine my collection will grow with ease but from a practical angle (because yes, I actually can be sensible!) I’m possibly even more desperate for a bigger line of skin saviours (the Butter Cup Cleansing Balm and Super Jelly Cleansing Gel are the best possibly combination for that fresh as a daisy or buttercup?! face if you’re oily AF like me and honestly I need more of that in my life).

Do you already have any By Beauty Bay favourites and if not have I tempted you enough to see for yourself?

A bit of a different post from me today my loves but you know what they say, a change is as good as a rest.

When I was first contacted some time ago and asked to test out a couple of cleansing bars I have to say I was intrigued! I’d never actually owned a product of this sort before and am always up for trying new things so of course I was immediately onboard. What I didn’t know was that I was going to fall head over heels in love with this beautiful company.

Little Soap Company were founded in 2008 and have turned big dreams into a reality with their unique approach to the bathroom staple.

Eco Warrior Beauty Edit Chill-Out Bar.

Eco Warrior – a cruelty free & vegan collection under the Little Soap Company umbrella contains 99.9% natural ingredients and is plastic free, eco friendly and biodegradable (both the soap and packaging) so you can treat yourself to a luxurious self care session with the knowledge you are doing your bit for the environment.

Did I mention they also smell amazing?! Like not regular amazing, ACTUALLY amazing. The scent alone is just a hit of instant relaxation.

Eco Warrior Beauty Edit Cleansing Bar.

Besides the fact you’ll feel smug AF for making good choices there are also some practical positives that go hand in hand with choosing to swap your regular skincare or haircare for a bar.

  • Easily transportable. Chuck them in your bag without fear of those pesky spillages!
  • Less waste, which is a entire reason in itself am I right?
  • Cute as hell (because in the age of Instagram you know we all appreciate a good aesthetic!).
Eco Warrior Beauty Edit Cleansing Bar.

With that being said I wanted to finish this post with a bit of a plea for help with a new project Little Soap Company are working on.

A brand new Hand & Body Bar in collaboration with the Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS).

Eco Warrior Special Edition SOS Hand & Body Bar.

For every bar sold Little Soap Company pledges to donate 25p to the Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS) to help plant seedlings in Sumatra, Indonesia as part of their forest regeneration and conservation mission. SOS works to protect Sumatran orangutans and the forests they depend on. They have planted over 2 million trees and rescued over 200 orangutans so far and continue to work on new solutions for the issues facing orangutans in the wild.

Eco Warrior SOS Bar Press Release

Both Little Soap Company and SOS believe that the future is all about sustainable palm oil and that a complete boycott could have more devastating effects for orangutans and the rainforest they depend on for survival. They only use RSPO Sustainable Palm Oil, produced without harming rainforests or the species that rely on them. Their passion is infectious and an asset to the beauty industry.

It would have been easier to have bowed to pressure years ago and made palm-oil free soap, but I truly believe it is the business of a business to help improve the world. I realised very early on I wasn’t just making soap – Little Soap Company is also a vehicle to educate about big issues that big brands were not only avoiding but adding to, like the use of cheaper, non-sustainable palm oil and the question of responsibility for what we are flushing down our plug holes. We used to be regularly pressurised into boycotting palm – but this is not the right approach. My wife is an ape conservationist and runs a zoo and we met arguing about palm oil!! She said how terrible it was I made soap and contributed to the crisis and I said some equally inaccurate things about zoos. The world is not black and white and we both had a journey to come to value each other’s viewpoints and learn the other side of the argument.

Emma Heathcote-James, Founder of Little Soap Company.

The special edition bar is is fragranced with a blend of pure essential oils, fitting in nicely with routines for all skin types.

For less that a fiver you can add this beauty to your collection AND do your bit for the cause. You can pick yours up here… or find more information here…

The Glow up Edit by Roccabox is packed full of all of the essentials you need to really give your skin an overhaul to end the summer on a high and I’m so here for it!

The perfect mix of cosmetics and skincare with the most stunning Spectrum Malachite Brush that really is the cherry on top!

Im sure you’ll all know by now that I’m pale AF and any sort of tanning products have to be approached with caution.

This summer I have really loved experimenting with a more bronzed look. I think I look much more healthy and whilst I’m happy with my pasty self most of the time you can’t deny that a decent tan just gives you the kind of radiance you can’t find elsewhere and that’s why this combination was such a stroke of brilliance.

What you’ll find…

Spectrum Collections – Domed Powder Brush

RRP: £10.00

Vita Liberata – Heavenly Elixir

RRP: £5.00

Vegan by Happy Skin – Original Essence Toner

RRP: £34.99

What’s in it for me? – Body Cleanser

RRP: £6.99

Elikya Beauty – Illuminating Highlighter

RRP: £13.00

Experimenting with my news and products has always been one of my favourite things to do as a content creator so I’m really enjoying being able to do that with the help of Roccabox. Have I tempted you to sign up?

If you’re…super pale and fed up of looking orange every time you apply fake tan clap your hands!

Seriously though, you need to get yourselves over to Fuss Free Shaving because their Self-Tanning Mousse is THE ONE! The holy grail of all that is sun kissed and glowy.

1. smooth, 2. remove & 3. soothe.

For the best results possible I suggest you prep on day one with 1. smooth, 2. remove & 3. soothe. These products work beautifully alongside the FFS personalised razors (which feel like a throwback to when I was a little girl and LOVED stuff with my name on it. Have I grown out of it now? Absolutely not!).

FFS offer a free engraving service and I am so here for it!

After a good nights sleep and some time for your skin to settle (which will hopefully help you to avoid ending up with strawberry legs, tanning immediately after a shower just isn’t the one!) you can now move on to applying your FFS Self-Tanning Mousse (with the velvet tanning mitt if you really want to be a glowing goddess!).

After leaving to develop for 4-6 hours depending on your desired intensity you are now ready to rinse off and are left with a beautiful, natural looking radiance.

Top Tip: Use upward circular motions for an even, streak free finish.

This tan is fab for using all year round as it wears off really evenly. No stubborn patches in sight!

Fancy giving it a go yourself? Head over to my Instagram and you might just be in with a chance!

I’ve been searching my whole life for a palette that just really ‘got me’. For a while I thought it might be the By Beauty Bay ‘New Romantic’ Eyeshadow Palette but guys, I’ve found her…

…the By Beauty Bay Wilderness Eyeshadow Palette.

Reconnect with mother nature with the Wilderness Palette. Inspired by all the rich, earthy tones, leafy greens, and molten shades that nature has to offer us, this 20-shade palette features wearable autumnal hues whilst still allowing you to explore your creativity. Featuring the same BEAUTY BAY formula you know and love, each shade is packed full of pigment, is super blendable, and lasts all day without fading.

Beauty Bay

This vegan & cruelty free beauty is just so magical with its pigmented mattes and stunning shimmers (or a cheeky duochrome with shade ‘Ray’ which really lifts the whole palette to another level).

By Beauty Bay Wilderness Palette Swatches.

A colour story of two halves if ever there was one (I purposely swatched it in this way to demonstrate what I mean). Each element of the palette works so beautifully together for a truly unique experience but you really do feel like you’re getting an extra bang for your buck with so much choice and versatility.

Feathers appear when angels are near…

I defy anyone to name a release as elegantly beautiful and decadent as the Unicorn Cosmetics Angel Collection.

Unicorn Cosmetics Angel Brushes.

The UC team spent over a year developing and perfecting each individual piece of the collection and do you know what? It shows!

‘The Angel Palette is filled with pigmented pastels, rose nudes & irresistible greens. The perfect accessory for any makeup look this 2021.’

Unicorn Cosmetics Angel Eyeshadow Palette.

Truly a fairytale palette if ever there was one with enough ethereal vibes to summon a Greek Goddess.

Part of what makes this collection so special and unique is that the brand worked together with Freshly Baked London to produce a first for Unicorn Cosmetics. The baby powder scented self tanner of your dreams.

The collection includes…

– Angel Eyeshadow Palette.

– 10 Piece Complete Brush Set.

– Angel Hand Mirror

– Angelic Loose Pigment

Unicorn Cosmetics Angel Hand Mirror.

My heart honestly feels warm at the sight of this collection. You can see how much love and hard work went into creating every single element so that it’s not only pleasing to the eye but functional above anything else. It really is easy to grasp how UC have fast become a household name in such a short space of time. They’re a walking masterclass on how to build a supportive, loyal community.

A pop of colour on your lash line can really transform your whole look with minimal effort.

Will you be picking anything up? And if so, what?
